OPINION ESSAY- Sometimes is better not to tell the truth

Sometimes is better not to tell the truth. Many people think that sometimes it is better not to tell the truth. From our point of view, white lies don’t hurt anyone. First of all, we think that the truth can hurt and offend the people around us and the people that we love, but if with a little white lie we can avoid that situation, it’s better to tell a lie as long as the truth doesn’t have big consequences. Retouched photos posted on the social media are a perfect example to show that sometimes is better not to tell the truth. In this case, the liar lies to himself and the other people to be socially accepted. At the same time, there is another reason that supports this theory. Parents and teachers have always told us that it’s unethical not to tell the truth. But we are completely sure that our society is a web full of lies. To sum up, we believe that one more lie won’t affect so much our coexistence because the society is already rotten.

The treated video has a duration of 4 minutes and 51 seconds. The video starts with the presenter, Ellen, presenting the case of a little girl that admire Adam Levine. Then we see a short video with the reaction of this little girl when his mother tells her that Adam is married. After this video, the little girl with his mum are having a short talk with Ellen, the presenter. During this talk, Adam enters on the plate surprising the little girl with a rose. She is so excited and shy. The public applauded when see this situation. At the end of this, appears the logo of the program.
